As our business continues to expand, we are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our growing technical team.

The Role

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will lead the design, deployment, support and optimisation of enterprise networking solutions for customers across commercial, industrial and public sector environments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering wired and wireless network infrastructure, satellite connectivity projects and managed network services while providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and support enterprise LAN, WAN and SD-WAN environments.
• Configure and maintain Cisco switching, routing and wireless networking solutions.
• Deliver enterprise Wi-Fi deployments, wireless surveys and performance optimisation.
• Install and support Starlink Business, VSAT and rural broadband connectivity solutions.
• Perform network health assessments, upgrades and infrastructure refresh projects.
• Configure VPNs, network security policies and remote connectivity solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex wired, wireless and satellite networking issues.
• Produce network documentation, implementation plans and technical reports.
• Provide third-line technical support for customer environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance during project delivery.
• Work closely with customers to deliver secure, scalable and highly available networking solutions.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications or a related discipline.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting enterprise network environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of TCP/IP, Enterprise Routing & Switching, VLANs, Enterprise Wireless Networks, Network Security, VPN Technologies, DHCP, DNS and QoS.
• Experience configuring Cisco enterprise networking solutions.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel to customer locations across Ireland.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• Experience operating at CCNP Enterprise level or working within complex enterprise network environments.
• Experience with Starlink, VSAT or satellite communication technologies.
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Meraki, HPE Aruba or Juniper networking solutions.
• ITIL Foundation Certification.
• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineering teams.
